More About Me!

-

South Korea based mixed media artist, Leah Yochman, has been consistently exploring different mediums and expanding on the subjects of her work. Through this process of exploring different media, Leah has found a passion in working and creating with sound, light, the 2D and the 3D worlds, video installation, plastic, CD-ROMS, and other household items to create videos, sculpture, paintings, and more. Her pieces focusing on satire and social commentary are inspired by the late 90’s and early 2000s pop culture while integrating kitsch and camp into the heart of her work. Nature, especially light and color refracted through water, as well as the repetition and patterns that happens with flowing water and regrowth in flora, is what inspires her pieces focusing on communal emotions, healing, and growth.
